Tag You're it Challenge # 46

Hello ! Today I am playing along with Tag You're it Challenge #46.  I was lucky enough to be chosen as a favorite for the last challenge! Pretty exciting!

Here is today's tag inspiration:

My inspiration from this adorable tag was to use a cutesie image and a background of some sort. I love the cute little gnome! I am going to have to get some added to my collection.
I found a chicken wire stencil in my stash and decided to see what I could do with it!

I used some distress ink on the stencil to make the background. I then masked the stamp to only stamped the words onto the tag. I colored the chicken with colored pencils and then cut it out.
I enhanced the words with a gel pen to make them stand out more. Tag die is from Simon says stamp.

Tag you're it challenge #45

Today's card is for Tag your it challenge #45! My inspiration from this sample tag are: wings and the colors!

I pulled out a Memory Box butterfly die cut I  have had for a long time! Perfect for what I had in mind!

To create this card I first cut a panel from watercolor paper using a silly stitched die cut from Lil Inker Designs. I then took some distress inks and splattered the panel until I got the color combo I wanted. I then cut the solid butterfly out of the same paper and added color with the same inks. Then I added ink to another piece and then cut the open butterfly from it.

I cut the butterfly body from black paper and added glossy accents to the body. The tag is cut out of watercolor paper, using Simon Says Stamp dress up a tag die set. Of course pretty sequins for sparkle.

Here are the Distress colors I used:

And that's it! Remember to dream everyday! Great words to live by! Thanks for stopping!
See you next time!  - Barb

Birthday cards!

Todays cards are birthday cards I made for two of my co workers who share a birthday today! The first card is for Dayle. She love horses so I colored the pony image to loosely resemble her pony! It's her 29th birthday, so I couldn't resist using my new number die cuts!

This adorable stamp is from Whipper Snapper. The number die cuts are from Sugar Pea Designs. Silly Stitched dies are from Lil Inker Designs. Image is colored with colored pencil. Sequins for sparkle.

Next is Linda's card. For this card I used the adorable Fairy set from Lawn Fawn.

I cut the tag (Simon Says Stamp) out of watercolor paper then stamped the images. I watercolored and used a little Wink of Stella marker. Silly stitched dies give a little texture.

Some pretty sequins from Pretty Pink Posh add some sparkle!

You have a pizza my heart! Sugar Pea Designs Sketch #49

I made this card for Sugar Pea Designs sketch challenge # 49. I don't have very many of Sugar Pea's stamps so I dug out an old set I had in my collection.  Here is the sketch:

I have really fallen in love with this company! The have so many fun sketch challenges, I have to buy some more of their stamps! lol

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used the set Pizza my heart. I stamped the image in Picked Raspberry Distress ink. The Pizza slices I colored directly onto the stamp with Tombow markers and stamped them. Background paper is some I have had in my stash for a while - not sure who's paper it is.

Stitched circle dies are My Favorite Things, frame die is Lil Inker Designs Stitched mats. I don't know which company the the little flags are from. Sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. I almost tossed this card in the garbage- lol. I am my own worst critic. Glad I didn't - it kind of grew on my and now I don't think it's that bad.

Thanks of visiting today! Have a good day - Barb

Case this sketch # 168

I had this yearning to use kraft paper today. I really like how it goes with the olive color!
Sequins give just the right amount of bling to this card. They are quickly becoming my favorite embelishment!

Sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. Thanks for checking out my blog today! I'd love it if you left me a comment! See you next time!
